  • Client had an active code, P3024, which was for regeneration mode. It was active, and the customer wasn't sure to do, so he called our technical support.

The first thing we noticed was that in the parameters it showed it had been 1200 hours since the last regen. It also had a regen status at 70%.

Our technician started a forced DPF regeneration on the machine, and monitored. As the regen started, the regen indicator light came on. We followed up with the client later, and he stated once the regeneration was complete the light went inactive. He was then able to clear the code out.

We also recommended that the client check the DPF for abnormal soot, since it had gone 1,200 hours without completing one successfully.

This diagnostic was done on our off-highway diagnostic tool -- https://www.diesellaptops.com/collections/off-highway-kits/products/texa-construction-and-off-highway-diagnostic-scanner-laptop-tool

  • Is there a way to clear the soot level parameters with this tool? We have our 2nd machine now going into de-rate. I have sent the DPF out along with the catalytic converter to be cleaned, but once the parameters have been exceeded we are having to have Kubota reset that parameter.
